The Fellowship Scheme

Are you a digital media or technology specialist with a business idea, research project or portfolio piece you're keen to develop? Do you have an innovative product or intellectual property that you want to commercialise and take to market but maybe don't know how? If so, we're here to help...

The DigitalCity Fellowships scheme offers entrepreneurs and innovators in these growing sectors the opportunity to explore their ideas in a supportive environment with world class facilities. It's co-ordinated by the Institute of Digital Innovation and forms part of the wider DigitalCity project which is also facilitated by the University of Teesside and Middlesbrough Council and supported by One Northeast.

Through an intensive three or six month project, the Fellow carries out research, product or commercial development to a stage where it is to industry standard, commercially viable or able to attract further funding.

Ideally a Fellow* is a recent graduate, postgraduate or an industry professional inbetween projects. They must be free to devote their time and energy to the successful completion of their project.

Fellows are awarded a bursary which allows them to work on their project full time, supported by industry mentors with the expertise and know how to help them produce breathtaking work which can be taken to market.
